Luke O'Brien, counsel with Trinity Law Group LLC, is an entrepreneurial business attorney with deep operating and in-house general counsel experience. Luke deeply focuses on the broad organizational, operational, and transactional needs of entrepreneurs, startups, emerging and mid-sized companies, as well as representing angel and venture capital investors in early-stage investments and transactional matters.

As an experienced in-house counsel and a veteran technology entrepreneur, Luke has a consistent record of producing innovative solutions to intractable legal and business problems. He believes deeply in the judicious application of technology to resolve process inefficiencies. He previously founded, built, and sold technology companies in such diverse areas as SaaS-model legal process automation for the health law industry (Secure Record Services), GPS geoinformatic technology (SkyLinks, which he sold to John Deere), and mobile web directory services (Envenue, which he sold to Switchboard-Infospace). O'Brien, prior to joining Trinity, served as General Counsel and Vice President for Strategy for Brightleaf; he currently serves as Strategic Advisor – Legal with its successor legal automation company, Leaflet Corporation.

Luke holds a B.A. in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. He is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. Luke is a board member of the  Institute for Law Practice Technology & Innovation at Suffolk. A non-profit leader, Luke serves as member of the Central Committee of LR4J (Labels Are For Jars), an organization he helped found that raises millions of dollars to feed the hungry and homeless at the Cor Unum Meal Center in one of poorest cities in the United States.

O'Brien lives in Greater Boston with his wife, Ilse (a grade-school teacher), and their two children.  He is also the brother of late night TV host Conan O'Brien.
